What you'll be doing:

• Recruit, hire, train and inspire sales team to achieve targets
• Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement changes
• Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts, updated weekly
• Establish and grow productive and professional relationships with key decision makers and influencers
• Support the negotiation and closing of agreements in support of the sales team
• Collaborate with internal customers and cross functional departments to drive positive business outcomes
• Keep abreast of competitive activity and share knowledge with internal teams as appropriate
• Conduct constructive and timely annual performance reviews for direct reports

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years’ experience in sales
• 1-2 years’ experience in leading and motivating sales teams to maximum potential
• Fire and life safety industry experience is highly preferred
• Valid state issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Must be able to travel for up to 40% of the time; often overnight or multiple days
